Richard Lethbridge from Yorkshire decided for his 30th birthday he would complete a year worth of 30 challenges to raise money £30,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The first event taking place was on his 30 birthday, Sunday September 8 2013 THE PARA’S 10 – a 10 mile endurance challenge held at Catterick Garrison. From there 29 other challenges will take place, finishing on Saturday September 7 2014 with the Great North Run.
EVENT NUMBER 24: SPACE HOPPER WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT
The day is finally here. The track is marked out, the lanes are being swept, and hoppers blown up to maximum bounce!
Not sure which will give way first, my back and legs after yesterday’s Tough Mudder, or the space hopper!
A massive thank you to Wentworth Leisure Centre for accommodating such a random request, and also for helping an amazing cause: Teenage Cancer Trust.

We have a NEW GUINNESS WORLD RECORD!…10km in 3hr 21mins for Teenage Cancer Trust…and a few quid raised too!
A nice finishing photo with all the adjudicators. A huge THANK YOU to all of them; Helen, Lindsay, Austin, Em, Lauren, Joe, Martyn, all the Wentworth staff…and niece’s Megan and Bethan!
…and a photo of the injuries too, just to prove it wasn’t as “easy” as it sounds! Now I understand: it was a world record for a reason.
But folks, it all means nothing unless you brilliant lot like, share, spread the word and get people donating. Teenage Cancer Trust is an amazing charity that do incredible work day-in-day-out, that the vast majority of the population couldn’t cope with. Please show your support…
