Amy Turner from Whitstable, Kent has entered the Guinness World Records as the fastest woman on a space hopper.Amy aged 38, completed the one mile distance in 17 minutes 22.86 seconds – three minutes under her 20-minute target.
She can officially claim the title as Guinness World Record officials have approved the submitted evidence.
There was no known record held in the women’s category. Ashrita Furman from America, who holds the most current standing records for setting more than 130 Guinness Records, did the distance in 13 minutes in the men’s category.
The event was held at Canterbury High School on the athletics, Amy was cheered on by friends, family and enthusiastic spectators.
Amy is raising money from her space hopping feat for Young Minds, a charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. She has raised in excess of £750!
